Although week 1 has not ended, since I don't have lectures on Friday I'd consider it as over.

So, week 1 ended with 品冠，《一切为了爱》校园演唱会 at NTU Lee Kong Chian Lecture Theatre. It somehow looks like one of the LTs in TJC. And actually going this concert makes me feel a bit guilty because I am supposed to be studying. But well, this is a unique opportunity!! I just have to keep my mind on readings readings READINGS again later.

品冠唱功真好。边走边唱、边握手边唱都没问题。基本上他刚才唱的我只会唱《掌心》，但还是觉得好好玩。看到他的笑容，会想起罗志祥的笑容，会比较两者的笑容。品冠的笑容散发一种真心诚意，是我之前看到罗志祥的时候没有感受到的。嗯，也许是我想太多吧（毕竟罗志祥是偶象一号所以要求高一点）。还有就是，我突然在想，为了什么，歌星要变得懂得和歌迷握手和交流呢？站在品冠的角度，他丢开了疲倦、汗水，上上下下地尽力和歌迷交流。这是出自内心想要和这群不知道到底是不是自己歌迷的人群交流，还是因为宣传而做的必须工作？他的音乐让更多学生听见了。是不是让别人了解自己的音乐、听到自己的音乐，歌手就会感到满足呢？就像大家在说的，现在已经越来越少人买唱片或专辑了。是舍不得花钱，贪方便（反正网上可以下载），还是现在没有好音乐？好音乐是什么？是能定义的吗？那，站在歌迷的立场来看，能和偶像同台演出、跟随偶像四处演唱加宣传，这给予的满足感很大吧？但为什么会有这么强大的动力促使一些歌迷一路跟随？

Anyway, NTU is really a place with great scenery and environment. University of hills and heights. Ours, "university of stairs" (Nagami-sensei, 2009).

Back to my lectures.

Chinese Drama was eye-opening, and satisfying to be with a lecturer showing his passion in the topic. 什么是中国戏曲？一定要有剧本吗？一定要有舞台吗？

Modern China was the module I'd say I have great interest in and I hope I continue to so as to do well, the lecture with a non-Chinese and a Chinese sounded fresh. 从鸦片战争到胡景涛。文化大革命、五四运动...

History of Chinese literature was taught by a seriously super humourous Taiwanese lecturer. But of course he sounded strict in his own way too. Hopefully lessons will continue to be fun. 何谓诗？诗者，志也。《诗经》本为《诗》，"经"字代表经典、永恒不变。总共305篇，分三大部分：风（国风）、雅、颂。共有四大学家：齐诗、鲁诗、韩诗、毛诗，其中毛诗因用字大众化而多被采用。

Chinese Fiction was the lecture with the most information just in the first lecture, because the lecturer went on and on about what he wanted to tell us. He has quite a heavy accent, and sometimes when he gets too low-pitched, there goes every sound. But it was still great. 你何曾想过什么是小说？英文翻译是fiction，或是novel？内容又包含什么呢？

Chinese is so entertaining, although at times I still ask myself if I really want to be a Chinese Studies major student. And sometimes I doubt myself for my determination and perseverance. But through my experience, I should alert myself. Doubts give me nothing but failures because it leads me to giving up.

坚持是一件不容易办到的事情，但若你清楚自己不能放弃，那坚持就变成了无论如何都得做到的事情。

有志者，事竟成。

P.S. I saw Xin Yi today. She seems to be deciding on Chinese Studies too.

And I saw PengLai again. I have to say I feel weird seeing her, especially when the person beside her is no longer me and I do not really keep very in touch with her. How do I start again with her? Am I still her best friend? I don't dare to think about answers to such questions even though I want to know them badly. But before I can be myself, things should go the way it goes. And I am learning to open up. So yes open up please. Yes, just say HI and chat a bit and say see you again rather than escaping!
